As you might know, in previous Blog posts we’ve been keeping an eye on the remastering progress of the Homeworld series. In case you missed the news about it, on the 26th of January new in-game footage was released and also they have announced the release of the game scheduled for 25FEB2015. As far as i was able to investigate, the singular player campaign is fully remastered(and stable) and will be available to play once you acquire the game, on the other hand, the multiplayer will be available on a beta status. The explanation for the beta status over the multiplayer is simple: they have put all of the playable “races” together, so for instance you can play “Kushan”(HW1 race) versus “Vaygr”(HW2 race), of course this brought balancing issues that Gearbox is trying to solve, but at this stage they want the community to test it.
If you are interested in acquiring the game its available on the steam store. Definitely something to look forward this year!
